Google Cloud “Flooding the Zone” by Targeting Emerging AI Startups Before They Scale
Google Cloud is aggressively courting early-stage AI companies before they become large-scale players, offering cloud credits, infrastructure, technical support, and go-to-market help. Its COO Francis deSouza says nearly all generative AI unicorns and labs now rely on Google’s infrastructure, and the company has locked in $58 billion in new revenue commitments over the next two years—more than double its current annual run rate.
