Google Keeps Chrome and Apple Deal, Must Share Search Data

U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta ruled that Google can continue using its Chrome browser, Android OS, and default search arrangement with Apple—avoiding a breakup that had worried investors. However, to boost competition, Google must now share certain search data and index access with rivals and is barred from exclusive contracts that hinder competitors' apps.
