Google May Cut Free Gmail Storage for New Users in Push for Better Security

Google is testing a new policy that may reduce free storage for some new Gmail users from 15GB to 5GB unless they link a phone number to their account. The company says the move is aimed at improving account security, recovery, and reducing spam or fake accounts. Existing users remain unaffected, while the trial is currently limited to select regions.
