Google Rolls Out Android 16 Update to Tackle Pixel 6A Overheating Next Week
Google will push a mandatory Android 16 update to all Pixel 6A phones to reduce battery overheating on “impacted devices.” After 400 charging cycles, affected units will see trimmed battery capacity and slightly reduced charging speeds. Users receive a notification at 375 cycles and can check eligibility for a free replacement battery through Google’s support page.
