Google rolls out memory and energy-saving modes for Chrome on Mac and Windows

<p>Google has released memory and energy-saving modes for Chrome on Mac and Windows devices. The memory-saving mode discards tabs that have not been in use for more than an hour to help reduce memory usage. The energy-saving mode also reduces CPU usage and helps extend battery life on laptops. Users can enable these modes by clicking the "Settings" option and selecting the "System" tab in the Chrome browser.</p>
