GRP Rejects Body Cams for Data Storage and Server Sharing
<p>Government Railway Police (GRP), unlike other train security services, has rejected the use of body-worn cameras for security and surveillance at railway stations. The primary reason is problems with data storage and shared server access. The cops would rather rely on CCTV footage and have demanded increased coverage from the trains, particularly at distant railway stops. For the first time, GRP personnel used body-worn cameras during Ganeshotsav earlier this year.</p>
