Hit Your SIM Limit? New DoT Rules Will Block Extra Mobile Connections Starting August 24

Starting August 24, India's Department of Telecommunications (DoT) will enforce strict limits on mobile connections—up to 9 SIMs for most regions and 6 for Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, and the North-East. Telecom operators will use daily image data from the Digital Intelligence Platform to identify violators, immediately suspending any newly activated SIMs that exceed the permitted allowance.
