Huawei Accelerates New AI Chip Launch as It Challenges Nvidia

Huawei plans to launch its next-generation Ascend 960DT AI chip in Q1 2027, six months earlier than previously planned. The company is also developing large AI computing systems using its Peerium architecture and UnifiedBus technology, potentially linking hundreds of thousands of processors. The push aims to strengthen China’s domestic AI infrastructure amid U.S. restrictions on advanced Nvidia chips.
