India Set to Approve New Semiconductor Projects Under ISM

The Indian government is finalizing approvals for the next set of semiconductor projects under the first phase of the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM). Pending proposals include applications from an HCL Group-Foxconn joint venture and Hiranandani Group's Tarq Semiconductors. Approximately ₹4,600-4,700 crore remains from the initial ₹76,000 crore ISM outlay, which will be allocated to these projects. Following this, ISM 2.0 will be launched to invite fresh proposals.
