<p>The inquiry into Google over its Play Store policies is nearly finished, according to India's competition watchdog. The adoption of a 30% charge by Google for all Play Store sales in 2020 drew harsh criticism from stakeholders globally, especially in India, where it was viewed as unfair and restricting competition. The CCI started looking into the commissions issue and if Google was preventing competitors from making payments through its billing mechanism.</p>
