India’s semiconductor ambitions edge closer to reality: Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw inaugurated the pilot Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly & Test (OSAT) facility—CG Semi’s G1 unit in Sanand, Gujarat—marking the nation’s first advanced chip packaging and testing line. Within weeks, the first domestically assembled chip will be officially unveiled by the Prime Minister.
