India’s TSDSI Joins Forces with Africa’s ATU to Co‑Shape 5G/6G, AI & Rural Broadband Standards
India’s Telecommunications Standards Development Society (TSDSI) and the African Telecommunications Union (ATU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly influence global standards for 5G, 6G, AI, IoT, and rural broadband. This strategic alliance aims to amplify representation of the Global South at ITU forums, address long-standing standardization gaps, and co-develop technical specifications aligned with regional connectivity, sustainability, and digital inclusion goals.
