iPhone 17 Pro's 'Scratchgate' Revealed in iFixit Teardown

iFixit's teardown of the iPhone 17 Pro uncovers significant scratching issues around the camera plateau. Using digital microscopy, they found that the anodized aluminum finish is prone to spalling damage due to the sharp edges of the camera bump. Mechanical engineering professor David Niebuhr suggests that a more gradual curve could have mitigated this issue.
