ISRO Targets Crewed Lunar Mission by 2040

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has ambitious plans for the coming decades. Chairman V Narayanan confirmed that India's first human spaceflight, Gaganyaan, is scheduled for launch in 2027. Additionally, ISRO aims to land an Indian astronaut on the Moon by 2040 and establish a national space station, Bharat Antariksha Station (BAS), by 2035.
