Lab-Grown Sperm and Eggs May Arrive Within a Decade, Say Scientists

Scientists are nearing the ability to create human sperm and eggs from skin or blood cells, a breakthrough called in-vitro gametogenesis (IVG). Expected within 5–10 years, IVG could transform fertility, allowing same-sex couples or older individuals to have biological children. Experts urge caution, stressing safety, ethics, and regulation before clinical use.
