MediaTek Unleashes TSMC 2nm Chip to Challenge Qualcomm’s AI Dominance

MediaTek launched its Dimensity 9600 Pro processor, built on TSMC's cutting-edge 2nm process, alongside the 3nm Dimensity 9600M. Featuring a boosted neural processing unit for faster on-device generative AI, the chip aims to challenge Qualcomm in the premium smartphone market. MediaTek is also expanding its AI chip ventures into data centers, supported by investments from Nvidia and Alphabet.
