Meta and Sify Partner for 500 MW Data Center in Visakhapatnam
Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, is partnering with Sify Technologies to lease a massive 500-megawatt data center in Visakhapatnam, India. This marks Meta's first large-scale data infrastructure lease in the country. The move is a strategic step to support its growing ambitions in AI services and will also serve as a landing point for its multi-billion dollar "Waterworth" subsea cable project.
