Micron Expands Semiconductor Operations as AI Drives Demand for Memory Chips

Micron Technology is preparing to significantly expand its semiconductor operations, driven by rising demand for memory and storage products from AI applications. The company is scaling production in India while accelerating major manufacturing investments in the U.S. Its Sanand, Gujarat facility is expected to ramp from tens of millions of chips in 2026 to hundreds of millions in 2027.
