Microsoft data centres to heat Finnish houses, thereby reducing emissions
<p>Fortum, a Finnish utility, announced that it will use waste heat from two new Microsoft data centres to warm homes and businesses in and around Helsinki, thereby reducing carbon emissions in the process. Microsoft has also&nbsp;announced plans for the development of data centres that will be fueled by renewable energy. The two new data centres will be situated such that heat generated by computer server cooling may be recycled.<br /> &nbsp;</p>
