Microsoft has suspended around 3,000 Outlook and Hotmail accounts linked to a North Korean IT worker operation known as "Jasper Sleet." These operatives posed as remote tech staff in Fortune 500 firms, using stolen or fake identities—sometimes facilitated by U.S.-based “laptop farms.” The action, part of a global DOJ-coordinated effort, aims to disrupt the scheme that funnels illicit income to Pyongyang’s cyber and weapons programs.
