Ola Unveils “Shakti” Residential Battery Storage to Boost Green Energy Push
Ola Electric has launched Shakti, its first residential battery energy storage system (BESS), marking its move beyond EVs. Shakti uses Ola’s 4680 Bharat Cells and will be manufactured at its Tamil Nadu gigafactory. Available in 1.5 kWh to 9.1 kWh modules, the system charges in two hours and offers up to 1.5 hours of full-load backup. Reservations are open now, with deliveries slated for early 2026.
