OpenAI Expands Stargate AI Infrastructure
OpenAI, in collaboration with Oracle and SoftBank, unveiled its flagship Stargate data center in Abilene, Texas, which is already partially operational. As part of the $500 billion Stargate initiative, they plan to build five additional AI data centers across the U.S.—in Texas, New Mexico, Ohio, and a yet-to-announced Midwest location. Once complete, the network will deliver nearly 7 gigawatts of compute capacity, create over 25,000 onsite jobs, and support advanced AI workloads.
