OpenAI’s gpt‑oss Models Debut on AWS via Bedrock & SageMaker for the First Time
OpenAI’s newly released open‑weight foundation models, gpt‑oss‑120B and gpt‑oss‑20B, are now available on AWS Bedrock and SageMaker JumpStart, marking the first time OpenAI models are offered via Amazon Web Services. These models rival OpenAI's o-series performance and support advanced reasoning, coding, and agentic workflows—even running on a single GPU or consumer laptop. The rollout expands global access to affordable, scalable generative AI under the Apache 2.0 license.
