RBI to issue digital rupees using blockchain tech in FY 2022-23: FM Nirmala Sitharaman

<p>To help boost the Indian economy, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will issue a digital rupee using blockchain and other technologies in the fiscal year 2022-23, according to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The Union Cabinet had previously approved Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman&#39;s Budget 2022-23, which she had presented in Parliament. The FM said the use of digital currency will result in a more efficient currency management system.</p>
