Wearable maker Oura faces a proposed class-action lawsuit accusing it of misleading consumers about its sleep-tracking accuracy. The suit targets marketing claims of up to 95% precision, arguing the finger-worn ring lacks brain-wave and eye-tracking sensors to accurately measure REM or deep sleep stages. Citing independent studies showing accuracy closer to 53%, plaintiffs allege deceptive advertising, while Oura vigorously defends its scientifically validated physiological algorithms.
