Prince Harry and Meghan, alongside a diverse group of public figures, have signed a letter demanding a global ban on the development of AI "superintelligence." The signatories argue that racing to build an AI that surpasses human capability poses risks ranging from economic obsolescence and loss of freedom to national security threats and the potential for human extinction.
