Sarvam AI To Open-Source IndiaAI Mission Models To Boost Local AI Innovation

Sarvam.ai will open source the AI models it is training under the IndiaAI Mission to foster transparency, collaboration, and local innovation. Announced by cofounder Vivek Raghavan, these models — spanning NLP, vision, and multimodal tasks — will be publicly available via repositories. This initiative aims to empower researchers, developers, and startups to build and customize AI solutions tailored to Indian contexts, accelerating the country’s AI ecosystem and promoting indigenous growth.
