SC Dismisses Byju Raveendran's Plea in BCCI Insolvency Dispute
The Supreme Court dismissed a plea filed by Byju Raveendran, promoter of Byju's, challenging a National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) order. The NCLAT had mandated that the settlement of the BCCI's claim against the ed-tech firm must be placed before the Committee of Creditors (CoC) for approval. The dispute stems from insolvency proceedings initiated by the BCCI over unpaid sponsorship dues, which were later settled.
