Scale AI Alum’s 1001 AI Raises $9 M to Power Infrastructure for MENA’s Critical Industries

Venture-backed startup 1001 AI, founded by former Scale AI operator Bilal Abu-Ghazaleh, has secured a $9 million seed round led by CIV, General Catalyst and Lux Capital. The company is developing AI infrastructure for high-stakes sectors in the MENA region such as aviation, logistics and oil & gas, aiming to resolve over $10 billion in regional inefficiencies. Initial product launch is slated for year-end with early deals underway.
