Volkswagen’s China-based unit, CARIZON, is expanding its partnership with local tech firm Horizon Robotics to integrate advanced AI foundation models. The collaboration aims to accelerate the development of Level 3 and Level 4 self-driving technology, with Level 3 autonomous capabilities targeted to launch in Chinese passenger vehicles in the second half of 2027.
