Supreme Court Rejects Plea Over Blocked WhatsApp Account
The Supreme Court of India recently dismissed a writ petition seeking the restoration of access to blocked WhatsApp accounts, stating that using WhatsApp is not a fundamental right. The petitioners, who relied on the platform for client communication, were advised to explore alternative messaging applications, such as the indigenous app Arattai. The court also noted that the matter might not be suitable for judicial intervention.
