Taiwan Denies Cooperation with South Korea on US Chip Tariffs

Taiwan's Premier, Cho Jung-tai, stated the government has "no information" on cooperating with South Korea regarding US semiconductor tariffs. While South Korea suggested room for cooperation, Taiwan is only holding direct, one-on-one trade discussions with the United States to reduce existing tariffs on Taiwanese exports, which do not currently include chips. The Premier noted the relatively "benign" competition between the two tech powerhouses.
