Tech Giants Collaborate to Standardize Hacker Group Names for Enhanced Cybersecurity

Microsoft, Google, CrowdStrike, and Palo Alto Networks have announced a joint initiative to create a public glossary standardizing the myriad of nicknames assigned to state-sponsored hacking groups and cybercriminals. This effort aims to reduce confusion caused by inconsistent naming conventions—such as "Fancy Bear" and "Forest Blizzard"—and improve coordination among cybersecurity professionals.
