The AI Freeze: Enterprise IT Spending Slows as Firms Reassess Budgets

According to a Goldman Sachs CIO survey, growth in enterprise technology spending is moderating. Companies are growing cautious about large IT investments, driving the overall IT Spending Index down from 68 to 65. Rather than allocating fresh funds, two-thirds of organizations are actively freezing or cutting traditional software and networking budgets to fund their scaling AI infrastructure.
