Trump Announces Buyer Selected to Keep TikTok Operating in U.S.
President Donald Trump has revealed that the U.S. and China have reached a framework agreement to keep TikTok running in America by transferring its U.S. assets into the hands of American owners. The deal—aimed at avoiding a law that demands ByteDance divest or face a ban—is expected to close in about 30-45 days. Congress approval may be required. TikTok has about 170 million U.S. users.
