<p>Twitter has reportedly agreed to a new consent decree with the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) that requires it to take more steps to protect user privacy. The consent decree was prompted by Twitter&#39;s handling of tweets posted by Elon Musk, which allegedly violated user privacy. The decree will require Twitter to establish an independent privacy committee, perform biennial assessments of its privacy program, and more.&nbsp;</p>
