Twitter reverses decision, restores text of deleted embedded tweets

<p>Twitter has quietly reversed a controversial decision made last week, restoring the text of deleted tweets embedded on third-party websites. In a blog post, IndieWeb developer Kevin Marks criticized Twitter for "tampering with the public record" by using JavaScript to purposely hide the text of deleted tweets embedded in other tweets. Previously, deleted embedded tweets would continue show their text content, which has now been restored.</p>
