Uber CEO Names Rapido as India’s Toughest Rival, Surpassing Ola
During a guest appearance on the “People by WTF” podcast, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi declared that Rapido—not Ola—has now emerged as Uber’s toughest competitor in India. He highlighted Rapido's aggressive expansion across vehicle categories, including auto-rickshaw and bike taxis, estimating it holds 20% of the ride-hailing market (down from 30% for Ola, with Uber leading at 50%).
