Uber Explores Acquisition of BluSmart to Expand Electric Fleet in India

Uber is in early discussions to acquire BluSmart Mobility, an all-electric cab service operating over 5,000 vehicles in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. This move aims to bolster Uber's electric vehicle presence in India. The talks coincide with financial challenges at Gensol Engineering, BluSmart's vehicle provider. BluSmart also maintains an EV charging network in NCR and Bengaluru.
