Unsecured Cloud Leak Exposes 2.73 Lakh Bank Transaction Records
A massive data breach occurred when an unsecured Amazon cloud server leaked around 2.73 lakh bank transfer records. The files exposed comprehensive personal and financial information, including names, account numbers, transaction amounts, emails, and phone numbers. Over 38 banks and non-bank lenders were affected, with one entity—Aye Finance—among the hardest hit. The National Payments Corporation of India stated the leak did not originate from its systems.
