USA releases new details related to trials of 'patrol dogs'

<p>USA's Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released new information about quadrupedal robot trials on the southern border this week. The machines are being tested in a variety of surveillance-related roles, and while the DHS hasn't provided a timeline for full-scale deployment, it says trials have been successful. The machine can navigate autonomously or manually, and it can carry a variety of payloads, such as thermal and night vision cameras.</p>
