USTR Greer to Sit Down With China in Madrid to Push for TikTok Divestment
U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent will meet Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng and top officials in Madrid over trade and economic issues, including enforcing a Sept 17 deadline for TikTok to divest its U.S. assets. They’ll also discuss ongoing concerns about export controls, rare-earth mineral flows, national security, and money laundering.
