Waymo Expands to Southeast Asia with 2028 Singapore Robotaxi Launch

Alphabet's Waymo is launching its fully autonomous, all-electric ride-hailing service in Singapore by 2028, marking its Southeast Asian debut. Partnering with Singapore's Ministry of Transport, Waymo will deploy Jaguar I-PACE vehicles for manual testing in 2027 to map roads and adapt to monsoon weather before launching public commercial rides via its app.
