Windows 10 Support Ends October 14, Leaving Millions of PCs Vulnerable
Microsoft will end free support and security updates for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025, exposing millions of devices to heightened cyber risk. Unsupported systems may be targeted by exploits and malware because newly discovered vulnerabilities won’t be patched. Many PCs won’t qualify to upgrade to Windows 11 due to strict hardware requirements, forcing users to either enroll in extended security updates or migrate to new systems or alternative operating systems.
