World's Smallest Pixel: New Nano-OLED for AR Glasses

Physicists at the University of Würzburg, led by Professors Hecht and Pflaum, have engineered the world's smallest pixel using optical antennas on an organic light-emitting diode (OLED). The nanoscopic 300x300 nanometer pixel is as bright as conventional OLEDs and utilizes a new insulation layer to prevent short-circuiting.
