Activists Storm Brad Smith’s Office, Trigger Lockdown at Microsoft HQ

Protesters from the No Azure for Apartheid group—comprising current and former Microsoft employees—occupied the office of President Brad Smith in Building 34 at the Redmond headquarters, prompting a temporary lockdown. The sit-in was live-streamed on Twitch, featuring banners and chants denouncing Microsoft’s cloud ties with Israel. Seven arrests were made. Microsoft has launched an external legal investigation, reiterating its commitment to human rights and that its services prohibit such use.
