Blacklisted Green Tech: US Tags China's Solar and Battery Giants as Military Allies

The U.S. Department of Defense has added major Chinese solar and battery manufacturers, including Trinasolar, JA Solar, EVE Energy, and CALB Group, to its Section 1260H military-linked blacklist. The expansion targets companies allegedly aiding China's military-civil fusion. While not an immediate ban, the designation increases reputational risk and will prohibit direct U.S. military procurement or third-party sourcing from these entities starting in 2027.
