China May Need 15 Years to Catch Up in Advanced Chipmaking Tools

China could take around 15 years to develop advanced EUV chipmaking machines, according to a senior executive at Zeiss, a key ASML supplier. Despite heavy investment in semiconductor self-sufficiency, China remains behind global leaders in cutting-edge lithography technology, with US export restrictions further limiting access to the most advanced equipment.
