AI-Powered Cyber Strike: Chinese Hackers Breach ConnectWise in Massive Supply-Chain Attack

Chinese state-aligned group Storm-0940 used an autonomous AI tool called ARTEX to compromise IT firm ConnectWise's Cloud Backup service, Microsoft revealed. The AI-driven supply-chain attack targeted hundreds of organizations globally across defense, aerospace, finance, and energy sectors. While most intrusion attempts were blocked, hackers successfully achieved high-level, persistent cloud access in multiple targeted enterprise networks before being contained.
