Chinese AI developers DeepSeek and MiniMax have completed registration and secured state approval to deploy and open-source their AI models internationally. The clearance follows Beijing’s newly proposed export controls on strategic AI technologies. Despite tighter regulatory oversight designed to safeguard national security, officials confirmed that most commercial AI systems will remain freely exportable under simplified licensing procedures.
